BIOS Updates forum

This problem is going on for a while ... I want to update my bios , cant find manual, And have looked all over the system board for a model type and theres none. The board i have is K7SEM PCB 3.0C ( I Think ) which has a AMI Bios. I have downloaded all the AMI bios flash"s for the K7sem and get : ERROR 9 Bios tag is incorrect. Have contacted Elite group and still waiting .
Any idea"s ?

What's written directly onto your mainboard ?
Rev 3.0C is with OnBoard soldered Duron CPU if I remember correct
The AMI bios-ID program should show a second Bios-ID string like K7SEM 011213s or something similar
Do you still have the manual > What's written onto this manual ? > K7SEM or M810 or nothing in this direction

Same spec only its with a AMI bios. I have a XP1700 chip in it. So the K7SEM PCB 3.0C is the only one with a Ami bios

Files k7sem_030103.exe/ k7sem021122.exe/ k7sem020726.exe and i get the same error Error 9 bios tag is incorrect when run from floppy or HD.

Nothing printed onto the board ? > Then it's a Pcchips M810 series mainboard
And with 2001 AMI Bios definitely a Pcchips M810 as the K7SEM uses Award Bios
