BIOS update to k7s5a v1.0 ...update bios rom first??????

hello all i have just bought a new cpu for my pc a XP2600+ but my mobo (ecs k7s5a) does not comply with that so i need a biosupdate ....i have found the right one for the job ...but when i get on with the flashing it tell's me that ...system was not new AWARD BIOS version please update ROM BIOS first...what is that and how do i do that i have been using the following flash and bios : awd822a and k7s5a021029tsd found at
http://www.ecsusa.com.tw pleasee help me anyone ?? my manual says that it is a k7s5a v1.0 anything else you want to know just write ??

Doesn't K7S5A use AMI BIOS

well i was down in a computerstore yesterday and he sayd to me that i should use award but maybe your right i will try ami but i have try'd it before and that did'n work ....but is this my problem ?? is that why it tell's me that i should do rombios first ??

now i have tryied the aminf333 but then this message appears ....error 5 ..BIOS FILE not of prober size ????????

The Biosfile from ECS is a self-extracting archive - i hope you didn' try to flash the .exe file or ?
