Anyone knows about a Bios upgrade/Flash for:

Motherboard: Fullyes 82440lx
BIOS Date: 07/10/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 07/10/1998-i440LX-8679-2A69JT19C-00
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX rev 3
Superio: ITE 8679 or 8680 rev 0 found at port 279h

I'm most interested in CPU speed, current CPU is Celeron 300, actual info states max a P2 333Mhz. Need to know if I can install a P2 450 or P3 500.

By the way, my 10Gb HD is recognized and formatted to 8.05Gb!!!!

We have to be careful here. The FYI 82440LX BIOS that we have patched is
BIOS ID: 09/10/1998-i440LX-2A69JF3BC-00
BIOS EVAL: INTEL 82440LX VER:1.5

Your subject line says 81440LX. The info you posted says 82440LX but has a different BIOS ID. 2A69JT19C checks out as a Trang Bow board

According to the BIOS ID string, the board is TrangBow TB-6LX.

I'm very puzzled about the way he gave us this info.

Maybe I've mistaken Bios strings and MoBo manufacturer, I'm completelly novice at hardware, but this is how I got the info:

I bought the Mobo in combo with a Celron 300 CPU, (at a bargain price two years ago, by the way). No box and no manuals, just a CD from FULLYES Inc. which included (among others) drivers for FYI-82400LX, Video Trident 3D image 9850, which matched components. But I'm uncertain about the BIOS string at start-up, because the T1 code that states my MoBo manufacturer is not listed at Award's manufacturer's codes website.

The info originally posted was obtained with BIOS AGENT from esupport.com

One curious thing: MoBo has 2 SIMM and 2 DIMM slots.

As I already mentioned I'm most interested in getting a newer CPU, tryed a few months ago (second han again) with several CPUs, heres is what I got:
P III 450 MHz was recognized as P II 333MHz,
P III 500 MHZ wasn't recognized at all, and the PC did not start.

One of the technicians looked for a 66-100 MHz jumper, finding nothing.

Don't know what else to do.

Check the top surface of the board for 82440LX or TB-6LX. That would tell us the real identity. It's possible the wrong bios was flashed long ago.

...or you were given a wrong CD, but for a board with the same chipset, so no problem.

Your board doesn't support PIII's (LX chipset).

Ok, Now I'm facing it: MoBo doesn't support PIII, but anyone knows if I can go for a PII 450?. (patched BIOS or by default).

Anyone has specs and/or layout for this MoBo?

I'm gonna give a try to flash BIOS, but How do I save or backup current BIOS settings, Try to browse it and didn't find a way to do it, I would really thank full instructions!!!

Nope. The PII-450 requires the 100MHz FSB setting. The maximum official FSB for your board is 66MHz, so you can go for a PII-333 or Celeron 533 as your TOP candidates.
Well, if you do happen to get a very cheap PII-450, then it'll work at 300MHz (maximum; 4.5x66.66=300).
