aside from trying to identify my mobo, so as to zero in on the correct bios update...
i was surprised to be told by esupport(sent to them by american megatrends inc) wanted me to pay 75$american for a new bios....is this standard?
I has thought that upgrades of the firmware type(unless they were talking of sending a whole new 'chip") were distributed as needed?
would be nice to know...as for that cost, (in canadian dolloars) i can purchase a whole new mobo here!!!1
auggg! would lose my old dbl-sided ram i bought for me old mobo though...great!
any ideas?
