ASUS P2B-F: BIOS Reprogramming to run headless?

I have an ASUS P2B-F motherboard, and would like to have it run in "headless" mode as a Linux server. Unfortunately, the BIOS requires that a monitor is attached, so my PC won't boot in headless mode.

Is there any (inexpensive) way to get a reprogrammed BIOS which would allow my PC to boot without having a monitor attached? I've gone through the "official" support for Award BIOS and gotten a quote on having this done, but it would cost about as much as a brand-new low end P4 motherboard, which is out of my budget for this project.

Are there any alternatives for having this done for less than say forty bucks? Any ideas or links would be appreciated.

Thanks....

AFAIK, most graphics cards work fine with no monitor connected. I've had problems only with S3 cards - their BIOS does not initialize at all without a monitor so all you get is beeps.
