i've been struggling to find an update for my bios for some time now, so i can get my 40gig hard drive to work...here wat i know about my comp so far---

The model number should be printed on the motherboard somewhere.

thanks, by any chance would you have a general idea were the id would be printed, are they in the same general location on all moverboards?

ok i found out that my mother board is a P2XBL R. D. now, i goto the bios update and i find numerous files, now i want to know if you can offer me some more help, since i am not sure which i should download. I have have never flashed my bios before, and i really dont wanna mess up and get the wrong one.

Get the newest Bios for your board and your motherboard revision (D) .

If your HDD is not detected with the new Bios then have a look in DFI's Beta-sector

where would i get the newest bios for my motherboard, do you have an url i can use?
