if i update the bios on an nforce2 chipset board, would the mac address of the built in lan change?
and the same question for other chipset mobos with integrated lans?

They usually not change during Bios update .

But there's a very small chance it happens and the MAC Adress has to be restored . Most mainboard manufacturers should have a small utility to restore the MAC adress .
