Looks like you have a Matsonic MS7192S. There's a picturer in this review, compare that with your board:
http://active-hardware.com/english/revi ... s7192s.htm

Also check the top surface of the board for this part number. If it is this board, updates can be found here:

Used this file:
http://www.matsonic.com.tw/bios/71920722.exe
with this flash utility:
http://www.matsonic.com.tw/bios/Awdf66.exe
following these directions:
STEP1. Download the appropriate BIOS file and AMI/Award Flash Memory Utility On the web page
STEP2. Prepare a bootable floppy diskette.
STEP3. Copy the downloaded BIOS file and Flash Memory Writer to that diskette.
STEP4. Reboot the system with the diskette made in STEP 3
STEP5. Running AMI or Award flash utility
STEP6. Under the Flash Memory Writer prompt, the program will ask you: Enter BIOS Filename: enter the BIOS filename that you downloaded (including the extension).
STEP7. Reboot the system.
STEP8. Enter the CMOS again, setup your system configuration and loading "Optimal Default"
STEP9. Save and exit BIOS

Did you? You have to unpack the bios file first BTW, it should produce a .bin file.

Before

Program: Unicore BIOS Agent Version 1.8
BIOS Date: 04/01/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 04/01/1999-BX-W977EF
BIOS Eval: BIOS release Ver 1.02 04/01/1999
Chipset: VIA 82C691 rev 2

Now

Program: Unicore BIOS Agent Version 1.8
BIOS Date: 06/02/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 06/02/1999-BX-W977EF-MS7192S
BIOS Eval: MS7192S 07/22/1999
Chipset: VIA 82C691 rev 2

It still does the same thing. When booting it hangs while detecting the ide primary slave. Does that flash support an 60 gig HD.

Thanks Again for all yor help! :P

Looks like this BIOS has the "famous" 32GB bug. I can send you modified (fixed) version if you want to try it (at your own risk, of course).

Sending it right now. I took the latest BIOS from Matsonic - the one you currently have - and ran my AWD32GB on it. The result should be fixed BIOS.
