Asus Bios Problems?

I have an asus a7v8x-lx mobo in my compaq. the board is soild but compaq sets hardware as low as possible then locks it so it cant be modified. Ive been working for weeks now trying to figure out how to crack this thing . With little progress. So i start reading and i noticed that alot of new asus mobos have these same problems. They wont work proplery with modbin or any other utility that ive found. Im not absolutly sure but i believe this problem is caused by the newer 6.0 bios rom not having a checksum. Asus uses a somewhat modified verion of award/phoenix 6.0 .
Somebody tell me if im right or wrong and also how to fix it.
