....this Bios is not named in any of the Bios sites I have been to and there is a link to tell someone on one of the sites of Bios not listed there but the link does not work .

the Bios loaded only lets me use a 4224GB harddrive , the largest partition available to me though LBA 8448GB is available in the Bios . There are 3 options available to choose for a type of harddrive in the Bios . 2(Y) , 1 , 3 .
I put a Maxtor 91021U2 HD in , jumpered and cabled ok .

A very old Abit mainboard - model number should be printed somwhere onto the board.

But I don't think Abit release a new Bios supporting HDD over 8GB

I'm hoping I can use a 10gig hd at 7560mb's .
I've read up and set the hd in the Bios to 7560MB's .
I installed NT on a partion 4000MB's but I've been trying to reinstall because of the error message .
Model Number is PH5 v1.4 and I haven't seen a version 1.4 just a version 1.3 . I'm now looking at updating the Award Bios above 4.50 PG .
I still don't know what I will use this computer for but I'm having a lot of fun trying to use it .
I got to load Windows NT and used it for a while but now I can't boot passed Error Loading OS error message . The HDD Led is red all the time from boot up .
Maybe I just have to wait for the 64mb's of memory that's on it's way .
What about the power led staying red .
I think the hardware is ok .
I think I can put a Gigabyte 4MB graphics card in it , maybe .

whichever bios is in the system did not let me much over 4gig . I've tried flashing with the Bios but I'm not sure what to name the files at the flash prompts . I think I should be trying awdflashph5e0 at the prompt but the power led is red all the time and I do not know why yet .
no worries now , I will leave the original bios , maybe later I will try an Abit Bios Flash for the Abit PH v1.3 motherboard .
