ok, here goes:

I tried this, and i got the following:

"Flash ROM write protected......"

Check the lockout jumpers.......................etc.

Anyone know whats going on? I have used a Win XP creasted bootdisk. This should be ok right. I also chose to save my existing BIOS, which appears went well. I also noticed the checksum was 00C4H.

Please help, i dont want to kill my Mother Board. Its gonna be my first ever BIOS flash!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are to ways to disable BIOS write protection.
Enter the BIOS, Advanced BIOS Features Setup, Flash Write Protect and pick Disabled.
The other way is to close JAV jumper.

Ok. i tried it and it seems to have worked. My BIOS wizard now shows the newer BIOS date, 2003.

One thing though, do you think this will solve the freezing problem i had with the WIN XP Pro SP2???? Also, how can i be sure this is the latest available update for my MB. Its now 2 years old, surely there must be a newer one right?

thanks!!

I don't think so.
QDI-Legend is 'livingdead' manufacturer. This year they had released 22 BIOS updates only and no one new motherboard.
They are focussing to OEM market.
