Will a new 80GB hard drive work?

Seems like my (fairly old) PC is likely to be affliced by the 32GB limit in the BIOS.
Can anyone tell me if there is an upgrade that I can use that will fix this, or should I just buy a PCI ATA controller card?

Info:

BIOS Date: 09/09/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 09/09/1998-i440BX-W977TF-2A69KC39C-00
BIOS Eval: 09/09/1998
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 2
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h

Thanks for any help!

It's Chaintech board - can be 6BDU, 6BTM or 6BTS (or maybe some other) - check if there's model number printed somewhere on the board.

The latest BIOS should work with your drive
