Need Bios Update please-Must Boot from USB CD-ROM

Dear Gents.... This is my first posting in this great forum,, please help me on this one

My Computer's Mother Board maybe damaged (ACER ASPIRE),,, when I try to use the CD-ROM it hangs!!!
SO,,,, I need to boot from my USB DVD-ROM,,, But My BIOS is very old 1999! and does not give me the option of booting from USB Drive.
Can any one help me get an update for this Bios
