Either it does not like your VGA card or a memory instability problem. May also be a copyright protections mechanism problem - maybe this protection interferes wit other protection system. Is your game patched to the latest available version ?

I'm having problems finding updates for my BIOS as well.

The specifications in the manual states this MB supports 3 GB of RAM. It's maxing out at 768 (I have 1 GB chip in here...)

Was thinking it might be a bios need of updating. Here is the information I was able to gather.

Program: eSupport.com BIOS Agent Version 3.45
BIOS Date: 08/21/02
BIOS Type: Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 08/21/2002-SiS-646-6A6IXF0DC
OEM Sign-On: Version SAI42
Chipset: SiS 646 rev 0
Superio: ITE 8705/SiS 950 rev 2 found at port 2Eh
OS: Win2000 SP4
CPU: Intel Pentium(R) 4 1800 Mhz MAX: 2400 Mhz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Yes
BIOS ROM Size: 256K
Memory Installed: 1024 MB
Memory Maximum: 768 MB
Memory Slot 01: 1024 MB
Memory Slot 02: 0 MB
Memory Slot 03: 0 MB
(YES to Onboard LAN)

The only thing I get on any searches is FIC. If I update this, I want to make sure it's still going to work. Any thoughts?

Q12: How can I found out my FIC Mainboard's model name? 2001/1/1
A: FIC Mainboard model name is located on PCI slots side in white bold font.

I need to know if your motherboard is VI13 or VI13L.
There are different BIOS versions for motherboards with or without integrated LAN too.

SAI42 Bios = VI13L motherboard
http://www.fic.com.tw/support/motherboa ... del_id=109
SAI42 is the lates official Bios for this version - all others use different combinations of letters and should be not for this special revision of your motherboard.

(What a terrible confusion of bios revisions for different revisions of this motherboard. I've seen a lot at FIC but this is really heavy).

Short: There's no new Bios available. What's eactly the problem with your board?

Yes it's too difficult to understand FIC nomenclatures.
There are a BIOS update intented for PCB version 1.3 ONLY:
VI13L (PCB 1.3/with onboard LAN) BIOS Version SAN41 - san41_vi13l_w_lan_pcb1.3.zip
VI13L (PCB 1.3/without onboard LAN) BIOS Version SAO41 - sao41_vi13l_wo_lan_pcb1.3.zip
ftp://ftp.fic.com.tw/motherboard/bios/socket478/vi13l/
PCB revision can be found here:
