GA6VXC7-4X patch for usb boot support?

So far I've searched Google for any available bios updates and applied them (latest is from 2002) and searched this site using terms 6vxc6-4x and in another search usb boot device. I have also contacted unicore and they have a bios update available at 59.95 which makes it prohibitive in these circumstances. If someone can help with this I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance for any advice/help given.

Do you have the option to activate "Boot other devices" or similar setting in your boot order or belonging to this setting ? Maybe removal device or something.

I just checked it because I wasn't able to remember all the options. I can boot from IDE 0-3, floppy, Zip- A, Zip- C, Network, CD rom and disabled. The only one that seems like it might (long shot) have a chance of working is Network. Again thanks in advance for any help.
