www.uniflash.org - use this for flashing

Gigabyte changed the Bios-ID of several older boards to show the motherboard model name insted of the standard Award Bios-ID, that's why your Award flasher complains.

Also the Gigabyte flashprog is meant to be a universal flash prog, works with both Ami and Award.

Thanks for that!

I used the Gigabyte flasher, as suggested, and all appeared to go well.

The new BIOS-Info output is:
BIOS-Info, c't/Andreas Stiller, V. 1.5 10/00
Computer ID : FC, SubTyp: 01, BIOS-Level: 0
Rechnertyp : AT-3, Konfigurationsbyte $74

Quick Power On Self Test -> Disabled to have memory tested

Usually the Award Core Bios does not change, only the release date by the board manufactuerer. That's why you see a 1998 copyright from Award and a 2002 date from Gigabyte.
