guys, i bought this mobo a couple weeks ago and it was getting very hot. then i tryed to update to the latest bios and i did mess up!
now my board don't boot at all!
the olny thing that the board do is a randon reboot but no video at all.
i tryed to buy another bios from internet and already flashed but, when it came... guess what? NoTHING!
i asked the seller about bios writing and he told me that everything went ok, no erros.
so now, as i don't know anybody that would have this same mobo in my city, what should i do?

I also have the same motherboard, last night I tried flashing with Core unlocking Bios. Flash went fine, verified OK, rebooted and now my mobo is dead. No LED flash on keyboard when powering up, just CPU fan comes on. Tried Cmos clear, tried booting with rom image on cd, usb drive etc. Removed battery for 8 hours.

HELP !!!

where did this bios file come from? ECS?

Bios file was used by other owners of same mobo to unlock cores, not sure origin

guys, i messed up very bad. when trying as crazy and i left a metal stuff above the board and did powered on... got it?
a litlte capacitor just blows. mobo dead. now i'll have to buy another one...

Good Day everyone, I also have a A790GXM-A (V1.0). I was trying to Flash the BIOS with the file FROM ECS Web Site.

IT IS THEIR FILE. I used the AMI WinFlash program from the American Megatrends International Web Site.

The OS is Microsoft Windows XP 32 Bit, and the AMI program worked fine.

The ROM file from ECS for that board was made for 6 CORE support, and other things.

The program process from read to write, to verify worked Seamless and perfect.

It is when I have restarted my computer everything failed.

I think the board is trring to power on, and something goes wrong, then

reset, then power on again, then the cycle is repeated constantly.

I think this happens within the first second of Power On.

I can confirm this by opening the CD ROM Door, when you reset a Board,

some CD ROMS will automatically close the door open Repower.

This is how I know the board was in extreem distress and failure.

So, now what happens?

There was a time when I took out all components to test the board.

NO RAM, there was a beep.

Maybe you have to have the new AMD 6 Core CPU in the board.

This is only a theory.

Board is non functional. There seems to be a place on eBay where you can get a BIOS chip IC.

This one was 8 Pin, I still cannot believe this. I took the chance to purchase this and I am awaiting

its arrival. They mentioned I had to confirm the make and model of the Mainboard.

I also purchased another board, just incase.
