Kinda new to this bios stuff and I'm learning lessons early. Pretty sure I lost my bios to a screwed up attempt at updating it.

I turn the power on and I get nothing.. the fan spins for a few seconds and then the system just shuts off. Any suggestions? Is it even possible to fix this without having to get my bios chip replaced?

Anyway thanks in advance...

Is it ECS K7VTA2 board?

What BIOS did you flash?
You will have to remove the chip and have it flashed somewhere (electronics shop) or use hot-flash method (requires another working board) http://rainbow.ht.st/hardware/hotflash.html.

I don't suppose the jumpers on my motherboard which is supposed to "clear cmos, and restore the default bios" won't work?

I'm guessing this just resets all the options in the bios to defaults and doesn't actually restore a deleted bios. But I thought I'd throw that out there.

Try to clear the CMOS but if you flashed wrong BIOS, it will not help.
