It was working great with my old Celeron 566 FCPGA but I wanted more so I got a 1.1 Celeron FC-PGA 128kb (non Tualatin) and flashed from 1.06 to the latest BIOS (1.008f304 beta) using the ASUS windows utility. The 1.1 wouldnt boot so I put the old 566 back in and forgot about it.

Originally I could not flash from a boot disc because it would not recognize the AFLASH utility. I tried every other Flash utility but nothing worked. The only thing that (seamed to) work was the ASUS windows utility. But it apparently didnt flash correctly.

Then after about a week I started seeing occasional screen flashes while playing games. Finally it blue screened and I went in the BIOS and found that the lowest CPU voltage setting was at 1.9v. The default is 1.75v.

I tried to re-flash to the original 1.06 BIOS using the ASUS windows utility again and it said I have to do so from DOS because the 1.06 is older than the existing one (1.008).

I tried to restart and got nothing but one long and 2 (or 3) short beeps (bad video card?) Since then I have not been able to get it to post let alone flash it. It will not boot from its original boot disc. However the boards green LED does work.

So far everything but the motherboard checks out OK. Confirmed by substituting to my old BH-6 (XP Professional, Inno3D MX-420 GeForce 4 AGP, 40Gb WD 7,200 RPM HD, SoundBlaster Live Value, 2 sticks 128 PC-100, 300w Power Supply, 100mb Zip Drive, 40/12/40A Plextor Burner, 56KB Lucent Winn Modem plus ribbons and power cords.

Neither my old Celeron 300A or PCI Banshee video card will work on the P3B-F. Substituting different power supplies, hard drives or memory has no positive effect.

Is it really a goner?

Help! :?:

I forgot to mention that I use an ASUS slotkit, set to default, for the CPU.
