Hot flash question

One question before I try this.
When do I take out the reflashed chip? I recall after the flash it says "computer will now restart" Do I let that happen or should this be stopped and the chip taken out at this point?
Thanks

Extract the reflashed chip once you turn off the PC.

The hot flash is giving error messages:
With aminf323 /soldbios.rom it says wrong chipset via
With aminf323 2k0930s.rom it says file too large
Any ideas?
Im amazed the motherboard sitting on the kitchen table works - perhaps I know more about computers than I think
Of course getting a pc chips board to work would defeat anyone

You might need an older or more universal flasher.

Why don't you tell us what motherboard you have, the capacity of the chip you want to hotflash, and the size of the BIOS file.

At the risk of crossposting (and soupy banning me  ):
The badflash is a pc chips m599lr v1.4 where I used the infamous 2k1222s update. Assume I need 2k0930. The bios chip is ASD 29F2008 in a SIS 530.
The good mobo is a Soyo SY5EMA+ v1.1 with an ETEQ chipset.
Different bioses of course: AMI and Award
Thinking about it, I could try the latest AMI330 flash utility. Perhaps the old one doesnt recognise the new chipsets? Or is Uniflash an alternative - it seems to support the chipsets and bios chips.
Thanks for the help so far. If I had read the threads here before trying the flash this wouldnt have happened.

The older flashers practically don't care about the chipsets.
Uniflash would be a good idea.

ETEQ = relabelled VIA
Uniflash was made to make hot-flashing easier.

Thanks Rainbow.
Uniflash 1.28 recognizes the bad bios chip and the chipset of the good motherboard Guess everything is alive at least :D
The error message now is: bios file not found. Does that means I need a working M599LR bios?
The PC Chips Netherlands web site is gone so does anyone out there know where I can get this file please. The links here suggest 09/30/2000 and 03/08/2000 work and support an AMD K550 cpu.

Fantastic AJZChips. Posted first time after a succesful flash with the bios file you sent :D
Correct date of 30/09/2000 and recognises my AMD K550 which was the point of the upgrade in the first place. I can recommend Uniflash 1.28
Well there were two problems. The ASD bios chip showed verification errors after the flash so I guess its fried. Flashed the chip from the good board instead. Also the first time I forgot to use the Overwrite Bios option and motherboard dead. Worked fine with the boot block overwrite.
Thanks to all for the help. Off to buy some memory at a computer fair
