mobo dead after flashing Bios

i'm using Shuttle spacewalker AK31v3.1 (awards Bios) mobo, i had cmos checksum error a couple of times, even after changing CMOS bat it will appear again in ard 2 months time. so i tried flashing my bios but the board went dead after that.....cpu activity present but no beep sound or video display.
had tried all available methods (software methods).
can anyone help!!!!

Might be an electronic problem which no software method seems to fix. Might be time for a new board, unfortunately.

Is there an ISA slot you can put an ISA video card in ?

there's no ISA slot. Only 6 PCI with ONR and AGP.

The picture at Shuttle
shows a socketed DIP BIOS ROM. Try hot-swap flashing ?

I tend to agree. Sometimes the problem is the bios chip, and a new one will fix it, but many times there is something wrong with the CMOS memory in the chipset, and there is no fixing that. Still, a replacement bios chip is cheaper than a new motherboard, and may be worth the risk.
Be aware that there is a 1.X, 2.X and 3.X version of this board and you need to look at the board to be sure of the version number. Don't trust the manual or paperwork. Wrong version = dead motherboard.
Other things to try if the power supply on the case, believe it or not.
Other issues are overclocking that can confuse the bios causing an update and then a crash before the cmos checksum gets updated.
