Hi there,
I have an Intel SE440BX MoBo, and i downloaded the latest FlashBios from Intel. I did everything by the book and it went well until i had to reboot my PC.
I got my POST screen but at the end of it it froze and even my keyboard is dead, so i can't type anything.
I can not do a flasback, because i didn't make a copy of my old Bios (I know it was very stupid of me!!!) I tried to take out the battery, but it didn't help much.
Is there anybody who can help me, besides of telling me to buy a new MoBo ???? PLZ HELP !!!!!!

PS: Intel doesn't support this MoBo anymore!

There could be a jumper to force an automatic BIOS recovery from a file on diskette.

(edit) Yes, remove jumper JBA1
It sounds as though the main problem is ensuring you have the right BIOS to flash.

Support info at http://support.intel.com/support/mother ... /Index.htm includes the BIOS

Was it working OK with the Radeon 7000 until you updated the BIOS ?

When you took the CMOS battery out, did you ensure that the PC was disconnected from the mains socket ?

Are you using another AGP graphics card now ?

Occasionally a new BIOS is NOT progress....

It was working perfect before I made an upgrade to the bios, and yes I unplugged the main when I took out the CMOS battery.

I did not try with an other AGP card.
Anyway it's now working and as you say : a new BIOS is NOT progress....
let this be a lesson for all the one's who thinks that an upgrade is much better !!!
