First of all, hello. I'm new in this forum.
Yes, my motherboard is dead. After install the MSI MS-6147 (Packard Bell OEM) with awd822a.exe, I can't boot my PC.
This is my old BIOS:
03/02/1999-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4EC-00
award modular bios v4.15PG w6147F4 v1.3 030299
My new BIOS should be:
10/28/1999-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4EC-00
I wanted to install an update because I bought a new HDD (80GB) but my motherboard couldn't recognize it. It only recongized 32GB.
I have a couple of questions:
-Is awd822a.exe the correct flasher to install the new BIOS? I didn't found AWD64GB.EXE and I think I read in this forum I could do with the offical flasher.
-Do I have to install the update without patch and then the patch? Can I install directly the update with patch
-Now, my PC is dead, but luckly I have another computer with the same BIOS and motherboard. Could I use this BIOS to boot my dead PC and then, while it is running, change the BIOS chip and flash an old BIOS to the dead one?
