8O HI,I was wondering if there is a way to revive this dead MOBO?

1.powers up cpu fan works

2.no beeps

3.post card reader shows no activity

4.cpu reset pin goes hi then low

5.all PS.voltages are present

6.no HD activity

this has onboard video,no AGP slot.
so my question is is the bios dead since i get no post card activity?
or am i missing something?i removed the battery to clear C-Mos.Still have the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Check voltages generated onboard - e.g. for a PII system - VCore, VTT (1.5V) and 2.5V. Also 3.3V on many boards.
Check for PCB damage (deep scratches), mainly around CPU socket and edges of the board.
The BIOS bootblock might be also bad.

Also if any ATA cables connected try booting with them disconnected. If you get a display after doing so you may have the connectors reversed for one (or more) of the drives.

What is your mini post card reading?

88,FF or 00, usually means your chipset I/O is dead(usually due to dicing saw damage on the silicon chip, or the silicon chip is actually broken, even though there is no shorts). Throw your motherboard out, savage only anything that comes off the motherboard.
