How to Protect the CMOS and BIOS

I want to protect the BIOS and CMOS setup, for that i want to write the filter driver.Please help me if any one have any idea.

Can't you just enable the bios virus protection in the advanced settings.
Most bios's iv'e seen from early 98-on have bios virus protection built in.
Usually only ami enables it by default ..

This is propably what you need but anyway...

One way to make sure there is no way the bios can be reflashed is to cut Flah-EEPROM /WE pin (usually pin 31) between motherboard and flash-EEPROM and connect EEPROM end of the pin to +5V (usually pin 32)

It can protect the boot sector (0) of IDE HDs. In order to protect Flash ROM your BIOS setup must have a option "BIOS Flash Protect" or a jumpers (QDI mainboards have the both options). BIOS Flash protect allows update ESCD and DMI data and such jumper prevents any attempt, including updating ESCD and DMI pool data.
