Battery

Having been away for a few days,when I returned home I found my bios battery was low ie had reset date and time, but when using every day ok.So after purchasing a new cr2032 my m/c would not boot up only start for about 3 secs,so I purchased another make of cr2032 and just the same,when I put my old Maxcell 2032 back in my machine works ,any suggestions or do I have to look for maxcell batts only.??
