Hi I have a ECS P4M800-M7 motherboard with a Pentium 4 630. I went to the ECS website (http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Products/P ... lName=BIOS ) to update the AMI BIOS, downloaded the update, and downloaded the AMI Flash Utility and followed all directions and the computer won't boot up.
When I boot, I get a blank screen. I hear the fans and hard drives going and I also hear a cycle of 3 long beeps (with about 1 second between each beep).
In the BIOS F.A.Q., it mentions that one way to recover the BIOS is thru a Boot-Block---
Or any other suggestions how to get my computer up and running?

I never backed up anything on a floppy. I have the motherboard install CD. I have 2 files which I think might be the BIOS file. Could it be BIOSDate.exe? Or Reboot.exe? Also, can I do this without attaching the monitor via an ISA card.......I don't have an ISA slot on my card. For AMI: The AMI boot-block BIOS will look for a AMIBOOT.ROM file on a diskette. Copy and rename the correct BIOS file on the floppy and power up the PC. The floppy doesn't need to be bootable. You will see the PC read the floppy, after about 4 minutes you will hear 4 beeps, this means the transfer is done. Reboot the PC and modify the CMOS for your configuration.
