BIOS Updates forum

I have a system with a Biostar motherbord and following info:
Board/bios version is VBE-A 1118A.
The Award ID String is: 11/18/1999-693A-596-8671-2A6LGB09C-00

After upgrading the BIOS with awdflash VBE1118A.BIN my system is totally dead. I got the bin file from Wim's BIOS.
I needed the update for a bigger hard disk.
I checked already the powersupply and the CMOS battery but still the system is dead.
If sombody has an (the) sollution thanks in advance.

Looks like you have upgraded to the same BIOS version.
Latest BIOS update patched for large HDD support, courtesy of Nicks:

You can't upgrade to the same level.
Your suggestion doesn't work, I tried already.
Now the system is dead so I can't run updates.
Maybe you have an other hint

Try clearing the CMOS.

I cleared the CMOS but still no responce. So I checked the powersupply and ghess what. DEAD
NOw I'm rebuilding another system with another BIOS, so maybe I will use your site.
