award flash gone bad

pc locked up and didn't finish flash - it rebooted and now black screen - no floppy activity (fans spin and leds all glow).

agp card no onboard vid. tried blind flash, but no floppy activity. reset everything a few times. alt+f2 did nada.

what are my choices for recovery....hot swap or just buy a new chip - or is the board bad too?

as you already stated your options are: buy a new bios chip (preprogrammed) or hotflash the bios chip. or buy a new board ;)

thx for reply - kinda figured. at least it's an easy excuse to upgrade to a 64bit board/cpu
