intel 845GVSR motherboard boot problem

Hello ,
I have a Intel 845GVSR motherboard.
After switching the pc on , no beep is heard and only the intlial logo screen appears, but it comes without any intel logo in the center , but with the graphics around the central square , which should have an intel logo , but is just blue now .
The keybd responds ( change in lock key status) for a while before the blue screen appears , then it stops responding .. ie th comp hangs ,
removing the battery for 1hr and putting te same one or a different one does not help in anyway . The hdd makes some noise initially when it starts up , but does not make the normal sounds which it makes while booting ... the fans are on ( cabinet + processor) .
I cannot get into the cmos setup .. it hangs before the prompt to press del to enter setup ...
Is there a solution to this ?
