I have an ECS P4VMM2 Rev. 8.1 motherboard. The problem is that its bios chip (Winbond W49V002AP) is not recognized by uniflash. I already downloaded the latest bios file @ 256KB but I cant flash it using uniflash since uniflash cant detect the specific bios chip. Need help. Any inputs are very much appreciated.

Thanks cp for the reply. But the motherboard is dead thats why Im hot flashing the bios chip from another motherboard. Can I hot flash using award flash with suggested command extension from other motherboards?

Problem here. I hotflashed the ECS bios using Jetway 630bn mboard but al fails. Is it because of the voltage 3.3V - 5V? Pls help. I need instructions. I know this is a firmware hub type of IC. Should I get a motherboard that uses a firmware hub 3.3V type of bios in order for my ECS bios chip to be hotflashed?

j-630n not supporting 2mbit chips perhaps? Is it recognized properly by uniflash? If not that is the problem.

Maybe 630bn doesnt support 2Mbit chips. Also, using uniflash, thechip is not properly recognized and I browsed uniflash -chiplist, I only find "almost" same chip number being supported currently at V1.40. Need help here. Need inputs.
