Help!!!!!!!

First, excuse my Bad english.

Probleme : when I switch on my computer, I have this message : CMOS SETTINGS WRONG. If I put F2 ( load defaults sttings), that's ok. Winxp and all programs.

But if I put F1 ( modifie bios setup), and F10 ( whitout any chanage), My computer doesn't switch on ( it's blocked). Whitout any message.

Of course, I changed Bios, but always the same thing.

I have this configuration

MC : MSI KT3 Ultra2 Socket A VIA KT333
Processor : AMD Athlon XP 1800+ Socket A
Graphics card : Abit Ge Force 4 TI 4200 64 Mo DDR
RAM :DDR 512 Mo KingElephant

So, I must shut down, remove switch Bios and put back( whitout any change).

And I have now the same thing : cmos settings wrong, etc...

I write MSI And I wait there response.

Thank you to help me

Tried to load Setup Defaults or Optimal/Performance Settings in Bios and then save and exit ?

Is this a new error or does it come since you have this board ?

Thanks for your replay,

But I can't save any change in SETUP BIOS. When I change, and put F10 to save, computer wouldn't reboot. So, I must remove jumper of CMOS and, I have the same Bios Settings.

Merci bien

Is it possible to Load the Defaults in Bios and change FSB and memory clock back to 100MHz ?
If this is working try FSB100 and memory 133 next .
Check the PSU voltages/ CPU temps in Hardwaremonitor section of your Bios - maybe named CPU or System Health .
If you have two sticks of memory use only one to test .

And make sure you have your CPU cooler mounted in the correct way !

If all else fail then this is a hardware issue. Very much like the K7S5A I put back to life. Of course with the help of Uniflash and a little tinkering !

Could anyone expand on Uniflash and a little tinkering? I have the exact same problem with my K7S5A.

Thank you

I suspect a buggy BIOS. Especially if three people have the same problem there is likely to be something other at stake than faulty hardware.

It would be interesting to know what BIOS versions everyone is running off, and then for someone willing to try a different BIOS version and see if OK. If everyone running recent BIOS versions maybe bugs in recent ones.

Possibly also if there are diffferent PCB versions and everyone running recent BIOS, that BIOS updates were made available by the manufacturer without documenting that certain releases applied to certain PCB versions.
