Hello guys .
I have an old pc
It is a
Pentium 3 MMX CPU at 450(100*4.5) MHZ
Award Bios 09/21/2000-i440 BX/ZX-977-2A69KPABC-00
Motherboard BIOS Epox EP-61BXA-M
The problem is that , my pc does NOT recognize anymore all my RAM.
I have 2 ram cards :
one is 64 MB , the other is 128 MB
The fact is that my pc recognize the 128 MB card as a 64 MB card , so that I have a total amount of ram of 128 MB
Is there any help with this please ??
The old bios I think was reading all the ram that I have but it didn't recognize all the capacity of my 2 HD ( one of 60 MB , the other of 80 MB )
Instead this new bios recognizes the HS's but NOT the RAM
help me pls
tx

There are a BIOS version dated two days before yours:
09/19/2000-i440BX/ZX-977-2A69KPABC-00
You can try with it.

Hello, and thanks for the link to the bios update.
Unfortunatelly I got another problem.
I flashed my bios with an old one that I found. The pc , started with the new bios , but I always had the problem with the memory recogniction.(It went worst. Onlt 64gb of 124 where recognized).
So I flahed the bios to the other one , but when I started the pc I got
1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps , and the screen was black . I searched for the soluytion and I found that it could be a memory problem or video card problem. I tried to remove the video card and reinstalling it or remove the memory cards and reinstalling it , but I keep getting black screen and 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps .
Is there any way to know if I destroied my memory cards or video cards??
Do u suggest something ??
thank u for your time

Please specify what Bios was flashed to what motherboard because you postet this same problem in the Soyo motherboard Bios thread. Did you make a mistake flashing the soyo Bios to the Epox board ?
Please specify what board has the memory problem and what kind of memory is installed.
Please read the i440BX memory compatibility FAQ here
