Is it okay to use RDRAM PC 800 45 for 40

I'm not to keen on the whole computer thing but I hope I can explain this correctly.
I have a Gateway 700S (2002) with an Intel Petnitum 4, 2260 MHz, 133 MHz external bus, Bios- Intel Corp. MV85010A 15.0049.P07.2024171416
RDRAM PC 800 40 256MB.
I bought a 1 GB RDRAM but did not realize it was for PC800-45. I tried to install it but it says I need the 40. Is there anyway I can still use this? I bought it on Ebay and can't return it. Any suggestions would be helpful...please
...thanks!! !
Mike
