I have a Motherboard - that is capable of supporting core 2 duo (soc 775) but disabled by the manufacturer.

manufacturer's name: Asus P5RC-LA
HP/Compaq name: Agena-GL8E

Is biosgent plus a good place to upgrade my BIOS.

Its socket 775 I want to upgrade to core 2 dup and unlock FSB!

Then buy a retail board, not an OEM system. The other option (that is a maybe) is a custom bios from esupport.com
