ok...i've looked all over this site and many others to try and identify my MB. all i'm trying to do is upgrade my memory from SIMMS to DIMM and i think i have to move a jumper or 2. i can't find my MB website cuz i don't know the name so here is my BIOS ID string....hope someone can help me: 03/03/97-i430vx-02071997c-00
i know...it's an ancient system, but we live w/ what we got. if some one could direct me towards a site to where i can get some info on my MB, i would REALLY appreciate it! (or...if you already know which jumpers to move around...feel free to post that as well!!)

thanks in advance for any help...it is truly apprecicated

1. If your board boots, post your BIOS id string. (Have you tried to figure it out yourself, first?)

2. If your board doesn't boot, post your chipset or any model numbers listed on the board.

Going by the date code, it appears you have an Amptron PM8800 motherboard. Check it out at the following link:

Also, you may want to check out the following link for info about DIMM's for this motherboard:
