Compaq Presario 5686

i have an Compaq Presario 5686 how do find out ho made the mobo or what make or model the mobo is??
the only thing i know about the mobo is that it uses a intel 440BX/ZX/DX and South Bridge Intel 82371AB/EB/MB (PIIX4)...chipset
and i also have this from sisoft sandra Unique ID: 39313938-37354643-32353130-45444300
and this serieal number 8919cf570152 it is under the systeminformation i get this is there any program there could tell me more about the mobo??

Just what is it that you want to do?

But, it doesn't really make a difference who made the motherboard as it is a cusom build to Compaq's specs and more than likely ONLY a Compaq bios upgrade will work.

I worked for Dell and we went through the same thing. Some of the early Demension boards were pure Intel and you could update them with Intel bios but it was usually one way.

Propriatary design

The design of motherboard is completely propriatary, not standard ATX.

I have some information with reguards to jumper settings, email me (ndaines@techie.com) and I will send you the info I have.

Though I am pretty sure Carolina is gonna win this year....especially after the 8-2 pasting they gave Montreal.,..
