finding out what kind of chip set and bios i have

Hi new to this computer world and not quite sure where to go . I am trying to find out if I need to update my bios and or chipset my problem is i have no clue where to go to find out the info and if i even have a chipset

Yes i have visited that website twice and have downloaded the exe's to find out which bios and chipset I have I cant get either to open...his faq dont tell me how to find this info out any response will be appreciated thanks.....daisy

Direct link to BIOS agent. If you can't download and run it, you have bigger issues than your BIOS.
