Help? What's my MoBo? How do I Update My Bios?
Posted: Sat Mar 15, 2003 11:44 am
I d/led the Bios Wizard from somewhere in an attempt to find what type of bios i needed to get an update, but the problem is, I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
It is supposedly a gateway computer running a P3-700
Does the chipset directly corrolate with the mobo model? If so, what does mine mean?
After I find out what Motherboard I'm using, where do I go from there? Where would I find a newer version of my bios if there is one?
Please help me out here, as I've never done this before and I'm a little nervous about it.
The reason behind trying to get a bios upgrade, is to try to *hopefully* get support for a 512Meg ram stick.
Please help.
