This board I think is referenced here
http://www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Common_Carri ... kfeb23.txt

It is a gateway (not Gateway 2000) LC2PC I think but this seems to be a nothing board and a non-existant manufacturer if it is true.

model: 601M-24AGM
Rev mp1.0
PCB No: BA41-00202A
S/N N20600ER100988 LCPC2 BA92-01089A
S/N (under the 1st one) S190ANIR1A029 LCPC BA92-01091a 0111

Chipset VIA VT8601A & VT82C686A

2 SDRAM sockets, 2PCI, onboard VGA, no serial, onboard modem, sound, etc, socket 370 uATX (smaller than most) no other markings

I do not have a celeron or VIA socket 370 chip to test in this unit, I also don't know what chips it would need (ie under 533mhz or more than 533mhz FCPGA, etc)

I would like to purchase an "appropriate" cpu for the board but only if I can figure out the best it will take.

Thanx for all your help
Ryan

Possible: Epox PM601M ? I'm not really happy with that ID. No manual, same BIOS as 3VWM / 3VWM+.

Searching for Gateway LC2 (?) brings up an EPA document which tested with Celeron 733.
[edit] PLE133 chipset...

Made by Samsung, the info at the Gateway site is the only info known to mankind at the moment...

What manufacturer or system do you guys think this could be from. There may be support from a site that uses the board but only lists it by a system name. I am still finding nothing on it through the usual sources.

Cheers

Officially Samsung does not make motherboards at all. Yet there is one in that Gateway 2000 system. Weird eh?
