Hi. It should be an EXTREME mb, but I think there's an identical model from Jama and Gigatech, but I can't find the internet site of the EXTREME and a bios from any of them. My version is dated 2000, I know there are newer ones. XP is hanging randomly and I think it's an ACPI trouble...thanks!

If that's an ATHLON board, then I'd compare it with the ECS K7VZM.

An archive.org search for www.jama.com.tw proved that most of the pictures (gone) for the AV363B board were in a /K7VZM/ directory.

Thanks a lot for your infos! I will try as soon as possible! As far as you know, those unexpected and unpredictable windows xp hangs can be solved by a bios upgrade?

I tried...downloaded the last version (march 2001) and tried to program, but the awdflash says that my chip's part number is different from that one in the new bios...can I try the same? If something goes wrong, is there any procedure that can help me putting back the old bios?

If it says that BIOS ID is different, don't flash. Send your curent BIOS ID (complete!)

My current id is:

Thanks a lot again

That warning message is quite normal, because the new bios string is:
03/13/2001-8363-686B-MA-AV363C-00
(note the change from 686 to 686B).
The jama.com.cn site mentions 686B for both the 1.1h and 3.2 versions.

Do you think I can try to flash it? Is there any recovery mode to put the original on if something goes wrong?
