Need help finding Flash file (.bin) for Award BIOS

I have an Award Bios v4.51. The ID that shows in the boot up screen is 'xx/xx/98-i440LX-19980216C-00' (I forgot the date). I want to update my BIOS, but cannot find the flash file for the same. The Award website is not exactly helpful and Phoenix doesn't offer support for Award Bios updates. Please help.

Run the BIOS Agent and post full results.

I think it'll look something like this:

Program: Unicore BIOS Wizard Version 1.8
Program: Unicore Chip Detect v0.72 2000.03.10
BIOS Date: 03/09/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 03/09/98-i440LX-19980216C-00
BIOS Eval: SM-P6LX2 Rev 1.2
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX rev 3
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h

to make a backup and send the file to edwin@wimsbios.com

I think this one (LuckyTech) was also sold as Acorp 6LX66 and (unknown) LX-6XP2 with an F9 identifier bios (Fordlian). In the end we might have far less real manufacturers than we thought...

Yep... the "19980216C" reminds me of how Jamicon/Kaimei ID'ed their LX/EX boards....

The first two hits look very interesting (for 440LX3).

Hey thanks for pointing out the link aj. But are you sure, (if everything goes well) the 440lx3 bin files available for download will update my bios properly. I really don't want to take a big chance

OK, this is probably a stupid question but, can I flash any 440lx3 related file or does it have to be 100% motherboard specific. It is going to be very difficult to find one for mine :(.

as said earlier, make a backup of your current bios with awdflash or uniflash and send it to edwin@wimsbios.com

you've got a backup already. this version has nothing special over the original one except support for harddisks up to 128GB.
