just bought a "Mitsubishi Trimond TC440" Dual NLX Slot1 Mainboard (440BX chipsetz) on ebay
board came with the manual of the ph440 (seems to be the single version of the tc440)
but jumpers are not at the same place ...
problem is:
fans start rotating, but no display, already tried an extra pci card (onboard agp rage pro), almost tried every jumper combination ..
cpus are working (tested on another mobo), heatsinks keep cool on the tc440
thinking of a port 80 card, but they are very expensive in germany
already tried google, but i cant find anything on that board ...
(board does not have any physical damages and looks fine!)

Could have been misflashed by the previous owner...

I can offer you two suggestions.
If you use the driverguide website, and search for companies by name, you can find Mitsubishi and a link to their website. They do manufacture PC Components and I was able to find this area amoungst their websites, but was unable to find main boards for computers. However, if you browse through their different websites from different countries you may find one that has mainboards amoungst it.
Secondly, are you sure this is a Mitsubishi Trimond board. To verify, it might be an idea to use the Wim's BIOS BIOS Numbers pages to check your manufacturer and model against the BIOS codes on your BIOS screen, and if that gives you a different result, you can then look at the appropriate website and see if there is a manual to compare the settings for defaults against what is on your mainboard, except for things like CPU and that of-course.
It may be simply that your CPU settings are incorrect, which needs some kind of documentation to assist you in correcting, which may be printed on the mainboard itself.

I just did a search for Motherboards from
http://www.mitsubishielectric-usa.com/ which got me to
http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q=Mo ... ndows-1252 containing a link to a further page which also indicates the end of this line of research.
Perhaps you could email Mitsubishi requesting, if they have one, a manual for your board, and any BIOS updates they may have for it, in case you want to apply one in the future.

Didn't find anything useful except this: (inside links don't contain the files, though)
http://web.archive.org/web/199911032135 ... n/bios.asp
Note: the TC440 was known as "Tomcat", while the PH440 was "Phantom", as can be seen here:
http://web.archive.org/web/199904291347 ... oducts.asp
In March 1999, Mitsubishi Electric announced its intention to withdraw from the design and manufacture of PCs and servers. This marked the end of a 17 year history of marketing PCs and servers under the Apricot and latterly Mitsubishi badge. However, Mitsubishi are well aware of the need for an ongoing support and service operation to ensure former customers continue to receive cost-effective and reliable computer usage. To fulfil this obligation, the Warranty Services operation of Mitsubishi Electric PC Division was transferred to the ownership of Open System Engineering Limited on the 1st August 1999.

good news:
recieved a "mitsubishi evaluation cd" - containing some drivers/documentation/bios for different mobos ... (all drivers for "current" mobos (see web-archieve-link)
folders on cd:
810 chipset
audio
fc810
hn440
hu430
in440
plc5100
ph440
tc440
tn440
810chipset
misc
network
video
software
images
if someone needs this stuff i can send him whatever he or she wants (complete cd = 98,6 mb)
bad news:
even with the documentation & port 80 card i cant handle that board ...
port 80 card shows "FF"
in the post code table is:
FFh - incorrect parameters
it is the very last entry in that table ... but what does "incorrect parameters" tell me huh ? (table in ph440 manual)
i think that table is in descending order ? (i hope you know what i mean ??

)
maybe someone can help ?
edit
already created a bios update/recovery floppy ... but the mobo doesnt recognize the floppy ... (just fans rotate - nothin else happens)
i even cant find the bios chip on the mobo (doesnt seem to be an exchangeable one like those typical award chips ...)
nlx riser card is from gigabyte (not the original, i didnt recieve the originial one ...)
psu = 450W be quiet (enough power ?

)
doesnt make any beep even when ram is removed (speaker on board)

If the POST code does not change - just shows the FFh, it means that the CPU did not start executing the BIOS. So check all voltages and check the board for physical damage.

board does not have any physical damages, both cpus work in another board
check the voltages ?

If you have a voltmeter, check that there is 3,3V on the DIMM slots (pinout at
http://www.hardwarebook.net), then check CPU VCC (pinouts in Intel CPU datasheets
http://developer.intel.com and 1.5V for CPU.

Try it without the NLX riser card, it may not be fully compatible. And yes, I'd like the lot of the bioses/manuals of that CD, drivers are most likely stock drivers so you can leave those out.
if someone needs this stuff i can send him whatever he or she wants
If you want to do so, please pack the stuff in 5mbyte chunks with winzip or winrar and send them with one chunk in each email to
webhq@xs4all.nl
Thanks in advance.

power-switch is connected to the headers on the riser card, without riser there are no headers ....
it should possible to start the board, connecting pin 3 & 4 on the atx connector on the backside of the board (upside & downside ? upside & backside ? erg lol I really hope you know what I mean gg) should work, but i don't know if the board could take damage ...
i have 5 rar archieves now, each packet in one mail ? (send them all now ? or wait until you got one mail?)
what adress is that ? yours ?
