Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
206A010E

I need to know if I can get an update for this motherboard. I bought it off of Ebay last year and the m/b says it is a Microstar MS-6578. There is nothing on the MS site about this board, and even calling their tech support. I think it OEM'd for NEC since the logo screen b4 the BIOS screen says NEC.

Need to know where I can find info about this board.

Thanks,

Gaz.

Please tell us what your W6578xxx code is !
-> You'll find it as Award OEM Signon or Bios Eval or whatever it's called.
CTBIOS or Aida32/Everest should help.

Do not try to flash a MSI Retail Bios over an OEM Bios !

Only MSI board I've found so far with the nVidia 420D chipset is the K7N420 PRO (MS-6373). How does this picture compare?

It's an OEM board from Microstar.
But the OEM Sign-On is unknown to me.

Actually, that's pretty close to the layout of my mobo. I looked up the BIOS updates for that board, but am reluctant to download and flash it since the current BIOS version is 6.00.

And there is another board that has the Nvidia 420D chipset, and I have it (albeit dead!). It is another OEM board and the model number is MS-6367. It was built for the HP 761n Pavilion Desktop.

I believe that my board came out of a Japanese NEC Valuestar machine. But any attempts to find info/downloads fail, since I can only find sites in Japanese relating to this (and I can't read Japanese!!)

Looks like I may have to stop searching and give up on any updates.
