bios upgrade

Can you tell me where I can get a bios upgrade ? The manufacturer, Chicony doesn't provide support anymore.
The specs are as follows.
Bios Type - Award Modular Bios V6.00PG
Bios ID - 05/71/2000-693-596-8693-JM6LGC2CC-OO
cpu type - Pentium III
cpu speed - 600 Mhz
mainboard - chicony
model - 693-596-8693
chipset - VIA Technologies Inc. VT82C597/597/AT/598MVP Apollo VP3/MVP3 system Controller

The BIOS is recent enough to support large HDDs. What kind of newer support are you looking for?

This appears to share the same BIOS string as the Chaintech CT-6AJM2. Compare your board with this image - are they the same?

Again, this may be a mismatch of USB standards, as I replied in your other post - USB 2.0 vs. 1.1.

Do not believe in anything Sandra wants to tell you - it's often misleading. IT seems you should check your connections as USB should be working well on your rig as well as the IDE ports. Maybe some cable problems ?
