thanks for the link but that bios refused to flash, i tried a variety of floppies so wasn't that.
I ended up using the awd922a flash program with the older versoin of the bios that i found a link to.

as far as i can see the bios was flashed, the old one save and the pc has booted up....will see how it goes.

Thanks for the help, will see if the newer version of bios will flash now.

The difficulties you experienced in flashing that image is where Uniflash makes things easier.

I will try the uniflasher...the flash program that AOpen give does not work at all....the floppy drives seems to get stuck in a endless loop.

My computer seems ok, i was having problems with the operating systems (2000 and xp) If i left the pc idle it would lock up repeatedly forcing me to press the reset button.
Also the pc kept scrambling operating systems forcing me to relaod windows every 2 weeks or so. I had tried everything from different ram graphics card, disconnecting drives ect but to no efect.

As i said, so far so good.....i really didn't think a updated bios would make such a difference, but then again i should have known as i've sorted a few pc's out with a bios update
