I hope that I put the right part in my subject line, the rules said to post the Bios-ID string in the subject line.

I'm wondering what my motherboard is because I've been doing some hardware work with my computer recently, and I think I would benefit greatly from knowing what my motherboard is.

Here is the information I was able to obtain from the Bios Agent program:

BIOS Date: 09/02/04
BIOS Manufacturer: Phoenix - Award BIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 09/02/2004-KM400-8237-6A6LYA0E-00
BIOS OEM Signon: Copyright 2004 by Hewlett-Packard Company Rev. 3.11
BIOS ROM Size: Unknown
Chipset: VIA 82C3205 rev 0
Super I/O Chip: Winbond 697HF rev 2 found at port 2Eh

Unfortunately, I was unable to find the "Bios Eval" line in the program. If this is significant to figuring out what the motherboard is, I can look again. If not, any information as to what my motherboard might be is greatly appreciated.

I'll be attempting to find my Bios Eval in the meantime.

Thank you for your time,
-Rudy

Motherboard Name Asus A7V8X-LA (Kelut)
I think. However in this case it's better to post the system model number, this A7V8X-LA comes in several incarnations with different specs. Note: there's no Asus retail bios that can be run on this board.
Note2: if you want a non-HP bios best chance is esupport. if you follow my www link you can find links to their site.

Oh wow, simple guess right on the nose 8O

Anyway as said, this board is only used by HP and not sold as retail board so any updates/info should come from HP.
