001124 is TEKRAM: http://www.tekram.com/

Can't find any SiS board at Tekram that could match. Any inscriptions on the motherboard?

Must be a replacement board then, the 5346 has an Intel i810 chipset, not SiS620. You are sure you have written down the exact bios string?

TU,

AJZCHIPS - the only inscription I could find was "CE31-A" between the PCI Slot and SiS620 chip.

EDWIN - What do you mean by "what system is this in"?

AJZCHIPS - I went to the link to COMPAQ and I am going round in circles

EDWIN - The following was picked up by BIOS AGENT program

BIOS Date: 05/19/99
BIOS Type: American Megatrends
BIOS ID: 62-1021-001124-00101111-071595-SiS620-1SIS6200
OEM Sign-On: UD6122n
Chipset: SiS 620 rev 2
Superio: NSC 351 rev 2 found at port 2Eh
Motherboard Manufacturer: Compaq
Motherboard Model: Compaq PC
CPU Type: Intel Celeron
CPU Speed: 400 Mhz
CPU Max: 466 Mhz

Thanks Again for your help, I am going crazy here.

FIC CE31-A
Now there is something weird going on. The AMI ID code for FIC is 001121 not 001124
62-1021-001124-00101111-071595-SiS620-1SIS6200 so either the bios wizard goes haywire or someone at FIC or Compaq scr*wed up badly.

However, this doesn't matter for the manual/settings, which can be found here:

The board is apparently made by a company called FIC (First International Computer) and the CE31-A might just be the model number of the board.

So I have listed the links I was given just in case it can help someone else. Many thanks Jeana
