How to save the BIOS screens

This question has come up before without a good answer. Short of connecting a parallel printer to the PC and using printscreen, is there any utility to record and save all the BIOS screens for futer refference? I'm not talking about a bin file copy for flashing, but a text file with all my settings , so that if I , for example, change the MB battery , I can go back and manually change the settings to what they were.
So far Ii've tried many different programs - non works. they all just dump a hex file of the BIOS .
An alternate program would be one that can read the BIOS screens from within Windows, and allow them to be saved.
If anyone here can suggest a tested and working program - I would be very greatful, as all my searches so far have been in vain.
Thanks!
