compaq mb and bios unknown

can someone tell me how to find my mb or bios idn# or even how to get the diagnostic screen at first boot..plz help[/b]
i have a compaq persario 5000us with intel integrated vid and sound..p2.566mhz not socket 7

thanks anyway but that did nothing for me at all...compaq/hp are'nt any help thats why i posted this

Create a BIOS-Image of your current BIOS.
(Use Uniflash(run it in dos); or Abit Flash-Menu or Award Winflash/Ami Winflash.)
You can get the tools from the BNOBTC too.
